The T56 is equipped with a hydraulic release bearing. Matching the master cylinder to the release bearing and proper bleeding is key for a great shifting transmission. The LSX Clutch Kit uses the correct bore and stroke Wildwood combination master cylinder to achieve this and offer placement option for the reservoir. The user can adjust throw and pedal height to their liking. The kits contains two DOT approved stainless steel braid lines for the supply and bleed sides of the release bearing to insure proper bleeding and ease of service.

Note: Because of the tight confinements with the MX5 conversion proper bleeding of the release bearing is very difficult with bleed line.

Kit includes:

Wilwood combination master cylinder with choice of reservoir location and optimal pedal adjustment

DOT approved stainless steel braid supply and bleed lines for proper bleeding and service

All fittings needed for T56 release bearing, master cylinder, and lines.

Over the last few years we've tried dozens of clutch and flywheel combination. From factory units to lightweight race setups. The factory parts where designed for a heavier vehicle and their rotating mass is far to heavy for the miata conversions.

We worked with Competition Clutch to put together a complete package to better suit the conversions. After testing we ended up with an 18lbs chrome-moly SFI approved flywheel. A dual compound disc, metallic/organic with a sprung center, for solid pedal feel and ease if driver. This assembly is rated for up to 500whp and comes with the correct slave shim and install tool.

The LSx conversion requires the Miata clutch hydraulic system to be upgraded. Our clutch kit includes new Wilwood combination master cylinder with clevis to fit the miata pedal, firewall adapter bracket, DOT approved supply and bleed lines, the correct fittings for T56 throw out bearings.
